Sri Lankan Universities, Campuses and Higher Education Institutes, World Rankings 2013 July edition has been released. According to the Webometrics the 2013 Sri Lankan University ranks are as follow. According to the newest rankings University of Moratuwa has become the No: 1 university in sri lankan contest while Univesity of colombo and University of Ruhuna has become second and third accordingly.
Further more when consider about the world contest "Harvard University" has become the NO: 1 university in the world while Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Stanford University has got the Second and third pace accordingly.
The Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, also known as Ranking Web of World Universities, is ranking system for the world's universities based on a composite indicator that takes into account both the volume of the Web contents (number of web pages and files) and the visibility and impact of these web publications according to the number of external in links (site citations) they received. The ranking is published by the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) located in Madrid.
